a note on the name...

the name of my blog was inspired by my most recent favorite fragrance that smells just like my grandmother - not just the estee lauder white linen she's worn since the 1960's, but a combination of all her products. my sister, aj, and i discovered it on our annual nutcracker and shopping trip to dallas. i am exceedingly happy all day when i wear it!

a work in progress

i have decided to enter the information age. that's a bit of an exaggeration (a habit to which i am prone). i am fully engaged in the information age. in fact most days i spend 10+ (yuck!) hours in front of a computer. unfortunately, very few of those hours are for fun. i have a high stress demanding job that leaves little outlet for creativity. to combat that, i try to dress as edgy and creatively as i think i can get away with in an uber-conservative profession. to be sure, i get the looks when i attend district conferences and team meetings. (eff them- they can't tell the difference between payless and prada) i love the way i dress. my intent is to highlight some of the fab outfits that i have put together. besides i have a picture a day for almost a year that someone besides me should enjoy! stay tuned...
